Infrared Sauna

What is an Infrared Sauna?

An Infrared Sauna utilizes light to create heat, which is absorbed more easily by the surface of the skin. By using the infrared panels instead of steam, you are able to experience a more intense sweat at a lower temperature. Infrared Sauna’s average between 120 and 140 degrees Farenheit compared to the steam sauna which is typically between 150 and 180 degrees.  Infrared Sauna’s aim to raise your core body temperature without dramatically changing the temperature of the air around you (allowing for more comfort and tolerance).

What are the potential benefits?

An Infrared Sauna makes you sweat and increases your heart rate, mimicking similar effects of exercise.

Lower Blood Pressure

During a sauna session, your blood vessels are dilated, which reduces the volume of their inner lining, increasing circulation to promote healthy blood pressure. Regular use can potentially have positive long-term effects of lowering your overall blood pressure.

Pain Relief

The heat of the sauna penetrates the joints, muscles, and tissues which increases blood circulation and flow of oxygen. This increase of circulation increases muscle recovery, muscle and tissue relaxation, flexibility and range of motion

The heat from the sauna helps blood vessels dilate, bringing relief to muscles and soft tissue.  Increasing the blood circulation means that more blood is being cyled to our muscles, helping them to recover faster!

The heat also helps the muscle tissue to relax, reducing soreness and muscles spasms and also increasing our flexibility and range of motion.

Enhance Immune System

Using the sauna creates an artificial fever, which strengthens and accelerates our immune response.

Improves Complexion

Increased circulation can improve the tone, elasticity and texture of your skin. This can improve acne, eczema, psoriasis, burns, lesions/cuts, reduce wrinkles, and improve firmness of the skin.
